Princess of Wales shares a poignant video message about nature as she marks Mother’s Day in the UK

The Princess of Wales has shared a touching and poignant message for Mother’s Day, which was marked on March 30 in the UK.

The royal, 43, who shocked the world when she revealed her cancer diagnosis, admitted in a post with millions that she turned to nature over the past year alongside her family.

Kate, who is married to the Prince of Wales, 42, wrote alongside the powerful video: “Over the past year, nature has been our sanctuary.”

“This Mother’s Day, let us celebrate Mother Nature and recognise how our bond with the natural world can help not only nurture our inner selves,” she wrote.

“But remind us too of the role we play within the rich tapestry of life. C,” Kate wrote to their 16.7million followers of their official Prince and Princess of Wales Instagram account.

In the video, footage of the ocean, a ladybirds, flowers and even a clip of the royal touching a tree could be seen.

The Princess of Wales, who recently relocated from London to Windsor with her family, revealed her cancer diagnosis in March 2024.

She said in a video message at the time that cancer was found during an operation and would be having “preventative chemotherapy”.

“This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family,” she said.
