Queen Camilla celebrated her 20th wedding anniversary in a very personal way.
Her Majesty, who spent the day with King Charles in Rome, Italy during their state visit, rewore her dress from her civil wedding ceremony on Wednesday.
The ivory silk design by Anna Valentine was first worn on April 9, 2005 at Guildhall, Windsor.

The then-Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall (as she became known), had a small, non-religious ceremony as divorcees at the town hall, before a larger-scale blessing service inside St George’s Chapel at Windsor later that day.
The dress has since been worn once more in it’s original form, on a trip to open Welsh parliament in Cardiff, Wales, in 2007.
Now, it’s been repurposed by Valentine, with additional embroidery by King’s Foundation artisan Beth Somerville.

The repurposed dress made its debut on Wednesday as Queen Camilla accompanied her husband to Italy’s parliament.
The royal added her own diamond and pearl jewellery to the look.
While the then-Camilla Parker Bowles held a cream clutch on her wedding day, the now Queen appeared to be holding a similar but different cream leather purse in Italy.

A look back at the wedding of Charles and Camilla
Queen Camilla, who wore a polka dot shirt dress on a visit to a local school, was presented with a Margherita pizza as an anniversary gift outside Istituto Comprensivo Alessandro Manzoni.
There to mark the 80th birthday of the British Council in Italy, Her Majesty met with students in front of cutouts of Paddington – a British character who has become synonymous with the royal family after his cameo in the late Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.
There were suitcases dotted around the room and the royal grandmother asked the kids what they would put in their suitcases if they were Paddington Bear.
An assembly of 70 students then sung Happy Birthday in English and Italian, before Queen Camilla cut a large cake.
The royal didn’t arrive empty handed either, presenting the head teacher with a selection of books.
King Charles and Queen Camilla will have a few hours of rest before attending a state banquet held in their honour at the Italian President’s residence, Palazzo Quirinale.
