Queensland man killed in workplace accident involving forklift

Emergency services were called to Karreman Quarries on West Mount Cotton Road in Sheldon, about 30 kilometers from Brisbane, about 2.20pm yesterday following reports that a man had been seriously injured in an incident involving a forklift truck.

The man died from his injuries, a spokesperson for Resources, Safety and Health Queensland (RSHQ) confirmed today.

“Our thoughts are with the employee’s family, friends and colleagues at this time,” the spokesperson said.

“The incident is under investigation.

“As this is an active investigation, no further comment can be made at this time.”
