Royal family’s rare response as King Charles’ meets with Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick

Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick has received a rare royal response after sharing a photo of a recent meeting with King Charles on Instagram.

Charles, 76, met with Westwick and his wife British-born wife Amy Jackson at a fundraiser for the Elephant Family charity’s Wonders of the Wild event at Kew Gardens in Richmond in the UK on May 13.

A thrilled Westwick shared a photo of his royal encounter on Instagram shortly after, which is when fans spotted the response from the royal family’s official Instagram page.

Westwick’s wife is an ambassador for the Elephant Family charity. The organisation works to conserve Asian wildlife.

The Elephant Room charity was founded by Queen Camilla’s brother, the late Mark Shand who died in 2014 at the age of 62.

King Charles and Queen Camilla have continued to champion his work, serving as joint royal patrons for the charity.
