Topping the charts Canstar Blue’s top-rated egg surveythe family business managed to come clean, earning five stars in the Freshness, Taste and Overall Satisfaction categories.
So if you are looking for the best possible supermarket eggs for your family, this is it, according to Australian shoppers.

Manning Valley Free Range Eggs are produced on the north coast of New South Wales, mainly around the Manning Valley area, including a major farm at Cedar Party.
Manning Valley Free Range Eggs are sold at Coles and Woolworths and start from $8.20 for a box of 12.
In second place was Costco’s wildly popular packs of 30 large cage eggs, produced by Pace Farm, which sell for $11.99.
Costco’s eggs rated five stars for overall satisfaction and value, as well as four stars for taste.

Three stars were awarded for freshness/quality and variety/range, but were let down by their packaging, which only received two stars.
Canstar Blue’s third highest rated eggs are Sunny Queen Farms Eggs, sold at Coles and Woolworths.
These scored four stars for overall satisfaction, freshness/quality, taste, variety/range and packaging, as well as value for money.

Sunny Queen Farms eggs cost $8.80 for a box of 12.
Aldi’s Lodge Farm Eggs reached fourth place on the list, scoring a solid four stars for Overall Satisfaction, Freshness/Quality, Value for Money and Variety/Packaging, as well as three stars for Taste and Packaging.
Aldi’s Lodge Farm Eggs are the most affordable eggs on the list, selling for $5.49 for a dozen.
The list is completed by Pace Farm Eggs at fifth place, Macro Wholefoods Market Eggs at number six, Coles brand at seventh and Woolworths at number eight.
Canstar Blue surveyed 2,379 Australians for their feedback on the egg brand they purchased and consumed in the past three months.
It’s been a tumultuous two years for the egg market in Australia and around the world, with shortages pushing prices higher.
These shortages were caused by bird flu landing on our shores in 2024, leading to the culling of chickens in an attempt to stop the spread of the virus.
By the end of 2025, supplies began to return to normal, and prices began to stabilize in early 2026.
