Donald Trump is facing backlash from another ally — this time for a line in the four-page screed he posted on Truth Social.

Yesterday, Trump posted a transcript of comments by conservative podcast host Michael Savage denouncing birthright citizenship.

And a closer inspection of his post has sparked outrage from Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal.

This is the line in the post he was excited about.

“A baby here immediately becomes a citizen, and then they bring in the whole family from China, India or some other hellhole on this planet,” the post said.

Jaiswal today called out the comment, saying it was “clearly uninformed, inappropriate and in bad taste”.

Trump also took a hit from a politician in his own country, with Democrat Ami Bera – whose parents are Indian immigrants – saying this was “beneath the dignity of the office he holds”.

“President Trump, born into wealth and privilege, has never had to struggle like so many immigrant families,” he said.
