Trump says he is willing to wait for Iran to respond in talks with the US, but not for long.
“If I can save the war by waiting a few days, if I can save people being killed by waiting a few days, then I think that’s a great thing to do,” the president told CBS at a U.S. military base in Maryland.
“If we don’t get the right answers, things will move very quickly.”
“We are all ready. We have to get the right answers. They have to be 100 percent right answers, and if we do that, we will save a lot of time, energy and lives, most importantly.”
On Monday, Trump called off a planned attack on Iran that was set to begin the next day.
