Veruca Salt: Influencer makes emotional confession about not knowing who her children’s father is in candid video

A pregnant influencer has revealed she doesn’t know who the father of her twins is TikTok video.

Kimberley Hartley, known online as Veruca salt, gave fans a life update on her TikTok account after recently announcing she was expecting twins.

In her latest video, she admits she “casually” saw two men and now “don’t know” who the father of her babies is.

Hartley subsequently confessed that she had both men undergo prenatal paternity DNA testing.

“As soon as I found out I was pregnant, I told them both… things aren’t really going well,” she said.

“In the world of ancestry.com, lying about the paternity of your children is a pretty bad idea. It’s not really something I want to do.”

Hartley is originally from the Gold Coast and currently lives in America, where she met both men.

She added that she desperately wants to return to Australia but doesn’t know what to do because she believes her children’s father deserves to be in their lives.

“Not only did I produce these babies, I have a responsibility to involve the father, but at the same time… I want to go home so bad, this place sucks.”

To add another layer of complications, Hartley said she is waiting for her green card to be approved so she cannot leave the US.

“If I go home to Australia, I can never take the babies to America, they will probably never let me in again,” she said.

“They’ll revoke my green card petition… this place is tough.”

She cries several times in the video, adding that she cried during the prenatal test because she “feels so guilty.”

Hartley added that one of the potential fathers is not taking the situation seriously, which adds to her stress.

“If you decide you want to be in the babies’ lives when they’re three, and I’m in Australia, that’s probably not going to happen… I get the feeling he’s not thinking that far into the future.”

Some commenters suggested that given the situation, she should terminate the pregnancy; However, she replied that she did not want to do that.

Hartley lost her six-week-old son, Cash, to sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) in 2024.

“I’m a big believer in freedom of choice, but I also have a brain in my skull and a brain in my chest,” she said in another video.

“I’ve seen people online say, why am I keeping it? Get an abortion.”

“This is a real life situation… the only person for whom an abortion is easy is the man who wants you to have one… that’s the only person who gets to celebrate and have fun.”

She added that she already feels the maternal instinct to protect her children, and that she does not feel any urge to terminate her pregnancy.

Hartley then challenged those who suggested she have an abortion.

“Do you think a woman should just have an abortion and then be tormented and driven crazy for months so that a man doesn’t have to deal with that?” she asked.

‘I don’t… and it’s not about the man. I did what was right for me. I chose me.’

Hartley goes on to say that she chooses to have her twins to help heal her trauma of losing her son. 

“Part of healing from trauma is having positive associations with things that have negatively affected you,” she continued.

“For example, if every pregnancy you’ve had ended in an abortion, a miscarriage, or the death of your child, your brain will be rewired to think that pregnancy is scary.

“The only way I can heal that part of my brain is to be pregnant and ultimately have the positive outcome… of being a living, breathing baby who loves me, laughs, giggles, whatever.”
