But it’s not only earthy Virgo that is feeling the heat – fire signs (Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius) are particularly influenced by many cosmic shifts in March, especially due to the eclipse conjunction with the South Node, bringing a sense of karmic reckoning and energetic reset.

Conjunctions with the South Node encourage us to reflect on past behaviours and tendencies that no longer serve us. For fire signs, these alignments may feel particularly intense, bringing up old memories, emotional baggage, unfinished business, or patterns which need to be cleared.

This South Node conjunction combines with this total lunar eclipse, a moment of karmic culmination may occur.

A total lunar eclipse happens when the Earth passes directly between the Sun and the Moon, causing the Moon to be cast into shadow.

While we will only see it partially in Australia, this event is a symbolic moment of culmination, closure and revelation.

As the Moon’s usual glow dims under the Earth’s shadow, hidden truths and unresolved emotions often come to the surface, encouraging us to release what no longer serves our personal or spiritual growth.

The full Worm Moon in Virgo, which is known for its focus on organising, healing and self-improvement, offers space for new growth.

Traditionally, the Worm Moon marks the time when earthworms begin to appear as the ground thaws, signifying the arrival of spring in the northern hemisphere.

This full moon calls for renewal, new beginnings, and the shedding of old layers in preparation for growth. It’s a time to embrace the changing seasons of life and embrace the promise of new opportunities.

If you’ve been lacking in self-care or ignoring to-do lists, this moon will give you the nudge you need. Think of it as a cosmic cleanup for your mind, body and soul.

Virgo is also a mutable sign so other mutable signs Gemini, Sagittarius and Pisces can expect to feel its force most.

While everyone will be affected by Virgo’s influence over the full moon, other Earth signs Taurus and Capricorn will likely feel its intensity as well.

Your star sign mode is important because astrology is based on the seasons. Cardinal signs mark the beginning of seasons, followed by fixed signs in the middle and mutable signs at the end.

  • Stay Grounded: Eclipses can bring up intense emotions and revelations. Ground yourself by connecting with nature, meditating or practicing mindfulness.

  • Clean and Organise Your Environment: It’s a great time to declutter and reorganise your home and workspace. Virgo loves everything to be in its place and to be neat and tidy. Give away or sell things you don’t love or no longer use.

March is a busy month astrologically, with Mercury also going retrograde March 15th until April 7th and Venus turning retrograde March 1st until April 12th.

You may experience communication problems and misunderstandings, especially in relationships which could also turn quieter.

Slow down and avoid making major decisions or commitments during this time, as the retrograde motion can lead to miscommunications and changes in plans.

Autumn Equinox is also occurring on Thursday, March 20th, which serves as a good reminder to live your life with the seasons and consider being more meditative.

The Autumn Equinox signifies the end of summer and preparation for winter, it is a time when night and day will be in perfect balance with the same duration for both.
