A woman has died after being struck on the side of the M1 Pacific Motorway south of Brisbane while exchanging details of a minor accident.
The woman had parked her white Audi before exit 30 on the side of the northbound lanes Logan and returned to her car after speaking to the driver of a black MG station wagon around 3:40 p.m.
The woman was then struck by a beige Holden Rodeo utility and died.
Shortly afterwards, two separate nose-to-tail accidents occurred, forcing the road to be closed until after 8:30 p.m.
The driver of the ute, an 18-year-old man from Boronia Heights, is speaking to police.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage is asked to contact police
