Harry and Meghan News: Australian tour could see them stripped of royal titles for good

The Australian tour byPrince Harry And Meghanthe Duke and Duchess of Sussex, could see them lose their official royal titles, a royal author has said.

Tom Bower, the author of Betrayal: power, deceit and the fight for the future of the royal family, said the Australian visit of Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, could be seen by the British crown as an attempt to commercialize using their royal titles, potentially spurring them into action.

Bower claimed that King Charles and Prince William may want to put distance between themselves and Harry when he brings his family to Britain in July, “as they take every opportunity to exploit their royal status to make money”.

“What it has done is taken them one step closer to losing their titles,” Bower said, according to Sky News.

The author claimed that Prince William would take action if he inherits the throne, potentially stripping Harry and Meghan of their titles entirely, “as this is hugely damaging to the Royal Family”.

“It may seem hateful, but the majority of Britons would support it. They are sick and tired of seeing Harry and Meghan exploit their royal titles.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently denounced Bower and his views, describing them as “deranged conspiracy and melodrama”.

In a strongly worded statement released in January, the couple said Bower “has long crossed the line from criticism to fixation.”

“This is someone who has publicly stated that ‘the monarchy actually depends on actually eradicating the Sussexes from our state of life’, language that speaks for itself,” they said in the statement.

He has published many books on the royal family, including Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War of the Windsors, Rebel King: The Making of a Monarch, and Rebel Prince.
