Queen Camille has collaborated Sarah Jessica Parker in New York, where she hosted a reception at the New York Public Library during her and her husband King Charles’ state visit to the US.

Camilla, 78, hosted the reception on behalf of her charity, The Queen’s Reading Room, and chose the historic library, which opened in 1895, as the perfect venue.

The approximately 100 guests included some of the biggest names in the literary and publishing worlds in the United States and the United Kingdom.

Next to the Sex and the city actress Camilla was seen in the company of the likes of Anna Wintour (who took off her signature sunglasses for the occasion), Today co-host Jenna Bush Hager, who hosts her own book club on the morning show, and author Min Jin Lee, whose novel Pachinko was a 2024 choice of The Queen’s Reading Room book club.

The Queen read from prepared remarks at the event, viewed the library items with the And just like that…. star, and met with representatives from local domestic violence charities and both New York City and state domestic violence prevention and social services agencies.

It is not the first time that the royal family has collaborated with the actress.

Just six months ago, Parker was part of the jury for the 2025 Booker Prize for Fiction and attended a reception at Clarence House in London hosted by Queen Camilla.

The royal praised the And just like that… star for participation.

“It’s one of your many hats,” Her Majesty said as they chatted at the reception.

Parker responded that it was “the one I’m most proud of”.

“It was exciting, especially to be part of this group, who are all extraordinary, smart and wise,” she said.

“We had such riches to talk about, and we’re surrounded by such wonderful, exciting authors.”
