Kmart shirt dryer: $19 buy that solves common laundry problem sold out almost everywhere

Everyone’s been there, you take your favorite top off the hanger, only to realize it’s still damp.

A $19 Kmart item is sold out online and in almost every store after shoppers realized it solves a problem common laundry problem.

The shirts dryer claims to dry shirts quickly and wrinkle-free.

The item works by hanging your shirt on it as if it were a clothes hanger. Warm air is then blown into the shirt to dry it.

Shopper Michael Jaimie said the hanger is perfect for drying clothes in the winter because everything takes longer to air dry.

“I used it a few times when I woke up, [and] My shirt that I’ve had on the line is still not dry, but I have to put it on quickly,” he said in a TikTok video.

“You get good airflow… don’t be the person who puts a soaking wet shirt on this, this only works with slightly damp clothing.”

Facebook content creator The Bargain Hacker even tried out the dry hanger for a few hours with a soaking wet shirt.

“Are you in a hurry, late for work, don’t have a dryer or is it raining? This is the perfect little solution,” she wrote on Facebook.

“The Kmart shirt dryer may look a bit gimmicky, but I can imagine it would be useful for some people.

“I tested it, and yes, it works in a small, unventilated room (I closed the window and door of my laundry).”

She also suggested it would be great for travel as it is more compact for easy packing.

The item is sold out online, but according to Kmart’s website, some stores still have stock.

Amazon sells a few similar products, ranging in price from $30 to $60.

There is also theKogan hands-free automatic ironing machinewhich wears your shirt to iron it, and claims it can dry a shirt in 20 minutes.

The futuristic-looking laundry costs $150.

If you want to go a more traditional path, Aldi is selling the Electric Winged Heater Airer for $60 during its Special Buys sale on Saturday, May 16.

It looks like a regular portable clothesline, but it heats up so clothes dry faster.

If you don’t need a portable shirt dryer, but still want to quickly dry a shirt, you can always rely on the handy hair dryer trick.

For a nearly dry garment that you need ASAP, get out a hair dryer and run it back and forth over the garment.

It may take a while depending on how wet the item is, but it will help speed up the process
