Lachie Neale has opened up about the aftermath of his split from wife Jules Neale.

The wedding of the AFL player, 32, and his wife Jules, 36, broke up in December after the latter publicly claimed she had been “betrayed” in light of rumors surrounding the couple’s relationship. wedding.

Jules has since moved back to Perth with their children, Piper, four, and Freddie, one.

The Brisbane Lions player shared a behind-the-scenes look at their parenting arrangements since the split The era.

“I get Piper here quite a bit. I’m fortunate that Jules has been very flexible with that, and I can go back to Perth whenever I want with the club’s blessing.

“If I have to miss a day of training or whatever, they are happy for that to happen. I’ve been doing pretty well with that so far.”

The footy star reaches his 300 game milestone today when the Lions play Melbourne at the MCG.

In a few months, he will decide which club he will play for in 2027, amid his new family dynamic.

“For me, if it works well and everyone is happy – and the kids are the No. 1 priority – then we think we can make it work here,” he said of the club he previously co-captained.

The news comes just days after the father-of-two broke his silence on the scandal.

The post led to Lachie stepping down from his position as co-captain of the Lions in January.

During the press conference, Lachie publicly apologized, without any explicit confirmation of anything untoward.

“While I will not go into details, I can say that I have failed my family, and I apologize for my actions that hurt those closest to me,” he said.

Lachie then added that he had to “accept” the consequences of his actions, but that he was focused on rebuilding trust with his estranged wife for the sake of their children.
