“Why didn’t Meghan Markle share a meal with women who paid $3,000 to spend ‘retreat’ time with her? How is that kind?” someone wrote on social media.
“How ridiculous, they advertised it as if she was spending the whole weekend with them,” he said, while another added: “2 hours? I thought it was a weekend retreat? WOW!”
Meghan’s team has since responded, telling Hello! in a statement: “It was always confirmed that Meghan would only be attending the retreat for her Q&A portion of the weekend. She loved talking to Gemma in front of such an engaging audience.”
