Police search unit owned by partner of ex-premier Annastacia Palaszczuk

Queensland Police have searched a luxury beach unit owned by prominent surgeon Dr Reza Adib, the partner of former Prime Minister Annastacia Palaszczuk.

Officers were seen coming and going from the beach unit at Burleigh Heads this afternoon, leaving with bags of evidence.

Police say they are collecting evidence as part of an ongoing investigation.

No charges have been filed.

Authorities emphasized that Palaszczuk was not involved and may not even have any knowledge of the situation.

The couple has been together since 2021.

The search comes as Palaszczuk attends an event at the Robina Library this evening to promote her new book, The politics of being me.
