Nicole Kidman and Sunday Rose have explained the meaning behind their looks for Vogue on the red carpet.

“I wanted to embrace the way red is used in art; it is a strong symbol of love, passionate love and motherhood,” Kidman said.

“I have a girl here who blooms in the spring,” she added, referring to her daughter.

Sunday Rose then explained her outfit.

“Mine is very special to me. I wanted to symbolize something blossoming for my first Met.”
